Waking up to clear blue skies and 9.6 inches of snow!  Everything is so white and sparkly in the sun; I want to run outside and make snow angels (if it weren't 4 below, that is!). :D

Sounds very pretty

I've been accepted to the University of Tennessee!!!  :D This way if my visa doesn't happen (I'm paranoid from last time), I'll have a back-up plan.

My brother in law has been at Stanford Hospital waiting for a liver.  My sister got the call last night, they are doing the transplant this evening.  Im so happy it happened while I was still here.  Everyone please say a prayer. He will have a long road ahead of him.

Thanks!!! My major is social work. I want to double-major, so I'm trying to decide what a good 2ed major would be.

Nursing or Education would be helpful.  Maybe a minor in Gerantology instead

That's wonderful news!  Sending healing thoughts out west...

Congrats on the Uni news and prayers for your BIL!

My unexpected pleasure is that switching to dial-up due to my temporary housing situation does not seem to be as slow as I expected!

I've heard of people doing social work & law before too, which I thought would be a good combo.  But maybe that's at the masters level?

I'm not sure. I want to eventually get my master's degree too, but that's not going to happen for a while. I want my second degree to be something I could fall back on. I've heard several stories of people getting worn out from being a social worker, and if that were to happen to me, I want to have an option for a second career. I'm sure I'll decide something soon! I'm thinking about maybe getting my TESL certification also.

I guess this means i'm going to have to break down and go buy something orange now! (I've lived in K'ville for several years now, and I've refused to wear orange) ...ummm........go vols?

3 Skype calls on a weekend where I was feeling down and appreciated the effort to "fit me in" multiple times.

Feeling very rested

That does sound lovely!

Had a great day w/the kiddos....lunch, a little bit of shopping, and some outdoor recreation with NO FIGHTING (a miracle!)
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.
