Online source for dumbbells?
« on: April 24, 2005, 08:09:57 PM »
I am looking for a cheap online source of neoprene-covered dumbbells. The only set I can get here are .5, 1.0 and 1.5 kg weights, which I bought two months ago to use in my workouts, but I'm ready to move up in weight now and can't find heavier neoprene ones here in town.  Can anyone recommend anything?

Well, I ordered some hexagon neoprene dumbbells from www.goldsgymdirect.co.uk, but they were not cheap. I hope they arrive in a safe and timely manner!

The dumbbells arrived today and are very nice. Very heavy, too!! Gold's Gym Direct is a good site.

Shame you had to talk to yourself in this thread, I meant to ask you whether you checked out Argos for reasonibly priced fitness equipment but now you've already bought the dumbells. Found this on Argos' website, they're plastic coated dumbells probably not what you were looking for but not made of metal though ;)

Actually I bought those Argos ones!!! But when I got them home I found that they are FILLED WITH WATER (not what I wanted!!) and they were LEAKING so I had to take them back! Which is why I decided to stay away from the high street.  ::)
