Not from what my fiancee tells me.  :(

Too bad the sun isn't has hot in NI as it is over here, or Sun Tea would be a good alternative.... of course it takes a LOT longer.
Only Time will tell.. it's just too bad she's a closed mouth B**!!!

I love Ice tea!  I have not seen one here.  Look on ebay, you never know what you will find.

Yeah, I gave up on Sun Tea over here. Been boiling some Lipton's Blackberry tea I had for Iced Tea and it was lovely and was remembering my mom's Iced Tea Maker which would be dead handy. Ah, well. Next time I am at the mall I will poke around Capt Cook's but I know it's a long shot. :)

I've had good luck with sun tea...  maybe im just fortunate enough to have a wee sunny spot on my patio.   I make a litre almost every day in summer.

I've heard of sun tea and love it ... but what's an iced tea maker? I've never heard of them. Is there a need for that? What does it do that would be different from making tea and putting it in the fridge?

I don't know why, but the Iced tea my mom makes with hers always tastes so good. Basically its a coffee machine that brews the tea very fast that you add ice to, so you have your full pitcher (2 quarts) of Iced Tea within a couple minutes. If you like Iced Tea and a lot of it right away, it's very handy, and you end up getting a lot of use out of it cause it simplifies an admittedly already simple act. I was just fantasizing about my mom's tea maker while I was letting my tea bags brew and working out how I'd have to wait to have a glass of Iced tea.  8)

I've been making mine in the fridge.  Got a big Tupperware pitcher, boil my water, stick in the tea bags put it in fridge over night and voila.  It's actually really good!  Though you do have to wait a few hours for it to cool.

We've been making suntea, leaving it on the window ledge.

Interestingly I was out for lunch with my boss one day in a really flash place (Osia in Haymarket if anyone's interested) and I asked for iced tea, which was not on the menu.  It was so funny, I could see them running around finding ice cubes and a jug and tossing the tea over the cubes - it took them about 15 minutes but they came up with a perfect iced tea!

Yeah, that's how I am making it now, sticking it in the fridge and adding loads of ice before it's properly chilled. A girl can dream though :)

My mom always pulls out the Mr Coffee Ice Tea Maker when I go home.  It's all I drink.  :P

My sis sent me Liptons cold brew tea.  It's really quite nice.  Cold water in a jug, put in your tea bags, stick it in the fridge and wait about an hour.  Perfect ice tea.  (Or at least cold tea.)

I'm wondering now if you can use a coffee maker here, but instead of using coffee grounds, use tea bags.  Maybe one of the stainless steel pots filled with ice???  (Think I'm gonna give this a try tonight and see what happens.)   ;D

My husband brought me home a jar of Lift Instant Tea, which says you can make chilled. I just put a few teaspoons into a pint glass, filled it with cold water, stirred and added ice. Not bad!
