I've run some through my coffee machine before.  It turned out ok, but truth be told, I should have spent a little more time perfecting the method.

I used coffee filters and orange peoke tea (more like our tea).  With the coffee machine, the water gets hot, but not boiling.  It also make sense to use very good filtered water or your tea will be cloudy.

lol Stacey ... I'm a pain when it comes to stuff like that too. Even in the US, I could never find instant iced tea that was decaf AND unsweetened (no sugar and no artificial sweeteners).

Still talk to your Aunt?  Can you ask her :D

Hmmm, I think my mom just used a glass pitcher for hers with cling wrap on the top.

Not sure what you mean by sun tea pot... I make mine in a 1 litre clear glass jar.
Something about making it in a plastic jug makes me feel sick... i dont know why!  :-X

the one i had in the states was a glass container (about a gallon maybe bigger) with a plastic lid that had a pour flap (oh im probably not making much sense! i'm tired!) i could probably use a glass jug with some sort of make-shift lid.....
