favorite quotes

Just wondering if you all have any favorite quotes from books you've read. I write the ones I really like down in a notebook, along with the title of the book, and the authors name, that way I can remember my favorite authors, and of course, the quotes! Here are a couple of mine:
   'Few things in life are as truly satisfying as being able to go to the bathroom, when you REALLY need to go to the bathroom'.   Unfortunatley, I didn't write down the author on that one.
   'If you fly too fast lady, you pass the nest'  Allison Pearson; I Don't Know How She Does It.
   'It's easy to love someone you don't know, staying civil to someone with whom you've ever shared christmas turkey, now there's a miracle.'  Nick Hornby; How To Be Good
   'The debt of a friendship is never collected, and nothing is ever owed' Sharon Shinn; Jovah's Angel

'When someone points a gun at you, it's pointless to worry.  You're either going to get shot or you're not.'

'A cheap point is always worth scoring.'

Both are from Ian Rankin's Rebus books.  The first from 'Resurection Men' and the latter from 'A Question of Blood'. 

Those are just two.  I read a lot, and try to keep my memory sharp by memorising a quotation daily. 

I read a LOT too, but never thought of trying to memorise the quotes, that's a great idea!!

I'm not a huge fan of his, but I've always loved that quote.
