I know it's just a hill, but I've always liked Silbury.

Married to Graham, we run our own open-source computer training company in beautiful Wiltshire out of our 1814 Georgian Regency home (a former lodging house and once featured in Antiques Roadshow)

:) It's funny. I never thought very much about how cool Fallingwater is until long after I moved away. I have met people from around the world that have been there and it amuses me to think of how backwater the whole area seems to me. OK, it IS actually a backwater but with a really awesome house.

There is a state park about 7 minutes down the road called Ohiopyle. My mum took me there a lot as a kid and it's one of my fave places in the world. So much so that Alastair and I got married there at the bottom of Cucumber Falls. PA holds wonderful memories.......

I live about 5 miles from his Unitarian Meeting House (so gorgeous inside!).
Plus, Taliesin is only a 30 minute drive from my house.

Yep, I live in FLW heaven.

Aaaaaaah.... amazing. I went to Chicago on a FLW mecca once. It was awesome to wander around Oak Park and see SO MANY of his houses all in one place! Just incredible!

Have you ever been on a tour of any of his buildings/houses?  You learn a lot of interesting things.  For example, a lot of his roofs leak because he liked to make them flat.  Oh, and he wasn't a tall man (5'8" or something like that) and he designed a lot of the doorways in his houses to fit his height, not the owner.  But my absolute favorite FLW thing is his grave at a teeny little church just up the road from Taliesin.

Last bit of my FLW hijack, I promise.
