Cookie Cutters
« on: August 10, 2003, 04:25:02 PM »
Anyone know of a good place to go to get cookie cutters?  I want some nice, metal, heart shaped ones.  NOT the ones with the handle... just a metal heart.

Thanks!!!

Hi Lisa,

I saw a couple of heart shaped ones here:

Also, try searching Google for "cookie cutter uk".

Good luck!

Allders is often a good source for cookie cutters, I am almost positive I've seen and bought cookie cutters at IKEA (but in the children's section, not the marketplace), you could also try www.lakelandlimited.com or if there's an independant cookware shop where you live they'll probably have one, also Robert Dyas sometimes stocks them.  What size are you looking for?  I've got a spare 1 1/2 inch (small) heart I can send to you.    :)  But tell me you're not thinking of baking cookies TODAY!  It's 200 degrees out there!

Thanks!!

It's so hot, I just don't want to go shopping, so I thought I'd find out where I had to go first.  :-)

I did a search on google and it came up with NOTHING.  I think I got one decent site.  Oh well!

Hi Lisa,

You can try looking at UK wedding sites. Alot of brides give heart shaped cookie cutters as favors at the wedding or are used as bridal shower favors. I searched on the USA bridal sites and came up with tons of heart shaped cookie cutters.

Some of your larger John Lewis stores have these as well.  I can't remember offhand if they were in the kitchen section, but I have seen them there!

Thanks, everyone!

I've still had no luck.  I did eventually find some online, but they didn't have a price, so I emailed the company, but haven't heard back... grrr.

I did check out some wedding sites, but I've only been able to find them packaged WITH the cards, which doesn't help me.  But I'll persevere!

Hello!  Bearing in mind that I am not a baker or anything.... but am using a post from another site (thanks bluebelluk) I saw in hopes it could help you......They have tons of baking stuff, cookie cutters, and everything else you could possibly need to be creative....hope it helps. I have not used it yet, but will look to do it this weekend in the hopes that something will spark in my brain for a huge Thanksgiving meal I am to prepare for all our Brit friends....including baking...ahhhhhhhh!!!!!   ;D

MissMaggie... you're a genius.  That was a perfect site!   Unfortunately they don't have photos... but that's a small price to pay.

Thanks so much!!!
