Moving to the UK Next Week and Need Advise
« on: May 09, 2005, 05:52:00 AM »
Hello my new friends,
My wife and I are moving to the UK (Copthorne) next week due to a corporate relocation.
I have a few hopefully easy questions to ask about the big move.

1. We decided to sell our Hummer and purchase a car in our new country.
 - Any recommendations on where to buy a good car, and info on the procedures involved.
2. Internet - The letting agent suggests going with BT? Anything Good, Bad, or things to know?
3. Banking - Any recommendations on what banks in the UK work with US Banks (No Fee Wire Transfers, Dual Accounts)
4. Satellite TV - Other than Sky TV, is there a Satellite provider that offers US Programming (HBO, Showtime, etc..)?

Thanks for everyones assistance, and does anyone know where the 4th of July party's are at?

Seeya Soon,
- Michael :)

Michael - all these topics have been covered before.  Go to the top of the screen to the 'search' button and you'll find all your answers!  (as for #3...none as far as I know, though you can get a US dollar account at Citibank)...best of luck...and expect good things and frustrations and all will be fine!
