Yep , hubs absolutely loves it and can name every sports car and their top gear statistics ::) ....although I'm not too thrilled about very rich spoilt folks tearing up the highways and waisting petrol...the party bit must be cool ..have fun  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Having read up about it before presuming and making generalisations, I actually found that there are actually a lot of folks doing it 1) for charity, and 2) running on 'natural' or even recycled vegetable oil - like Daryl Hannah and her team.

The party was cool; not really my thing, as it turned out to be a big rave more than a fun mingling type of thing... but did say hello to Mr. Jamiroquai guy, and had a fleeting moment of 'hi, hey, you kinda do look like me' moment with Daryl.  Saw Jamiroquai, the Cuban Brothers (no idea), Kym Mazelle (fab diva from the 70's/80's).  Other than that, it was mostly "What?!" "Sorry, excuse me, pardon me, oops..."  So I ended up leaving after about an hour.
However, it was also fascinating to see the all the lower levels of this building; it's considered one of the safest in London, and it goes on for miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles down there... and apparently they've filmed quite a lot... Britney Spears' video (where she's running down the halls, I think the one where she kills herself), and the Ferrier-Rocher commercial from last year.  So that was interesting.

Pictures to follow!

Apologies, this was based on watching a film (or being forced to watch it by a Gumball loving husband) in which highlights individuals running across the countryside in extremely expensive cars ( 100 or so supercars) funny the veg car wasn't highlighted. Isn't it £8,000 just to get in ??? How much money was raised for charity ?

Edit to ask per request of husband : Was Kylie there??  ::)

Jackass had a special on MTV a few years back where Johnny and the guys participated in this. Looks like an incredible time!

Out of the approx. 2,000 people that were there, I did not see Kylie - from what I gather, she has more pressing matters to deal with - had I, I probably would have included her in my list of spottings.  Although for all I know she well could have been.  And sorry, I don't know the exact stats, Alicia.  As my very first post stated, I'm not familiar but with the little amount that I read after being invited to the party.
