If there is a Costco near you, you can get them there.  We lived in the Northwest and we found that ASDA sells them off and on.  And believe it or not, I also used to get them at Home & Bargain.

They can usually be found at the larger Tesco's. If you're still having a hard time tracking them down give one of the food sites a try:

You have a Morrison's? As in the cafeteria? Whoa! Oreos are becomming more popular. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding them, but they are the Spanish version, not the US. And no mint or double stuff.

;D Thanks Lisa..
We HAD a Morrisons within walking distance WITH a cafeteria. It just shut to make way for a Matalan. There are two bigger stores tho sort of near to us.The North Road store has no Oreos, but I haven't checked out the last one.The ones we bought in Spain were covered in white chocolate! MMMMMM
I'd settle for "plain" old Oreos.
P.S. also wish they had decent peanut butter here.I brought some from PA when we were there in Feb. ;)

I'm sure you will find it if you scout around.  I used to buy peanut butter at a little imported food store (Matta's) on Bold Street in Liverpool.  If your supermarkets don't carry the things you are looking for, you might try looking in the little shops that sell international foods.  The focus in these places tends to be Indian or Chinese, but they often sell American stuff too.  And if you get to know the proprietor, sometimes they will special order stuff for you.

I lucked out on my outing to London for the BBQ, we happened upon the Canada Shop, who had Oreos. Not the double-stuff, but the original. On the shopping bag, was a web address, it's http://www.canadashop.uk.com/

They're located in Covent Garden, and also have lots of other goodies, Fruit Loops, Kraft Macaroni, Reeses. Tho the oreos aren't listed in the online catalog yet, I'm sure you can call to order them. :)

Thanks for all the info..I emailed the Canada Shop and they are trying to get all their products online. When they do and if they don't cost a fortune..I'll probably order some from them.
We don't have a Co-op here in Darlington and there are none near here that I know of.
A friend who was visiting from Spain brought me two boxes over but I never got to see her and she took them back with her....I have some peanut butter on it's way though from Indiana!!
