Any working journalists on this board?   I'm in the process of moving to UK in august.

The good news is foreign journalists do NOT need a work permit or visa to live & work in UK as long as you fill out paperwork verifying your work history (it's only good for 12 months, but you can reapply every year). 

The bad news is I need to apply for various UK press credentials...and nobody ever answers the phone or email at the Overseas Press Association!  Has anybody been through this process? Thanks.

P.S. My wife received her work permit last week!  Woo hoo!

Have you tried ringing the National Union of Journalists (NUJ)?
