We want to go this year.  We are trying to get near Spain as it always helps so I can pop down and visit there and maybe even do some work. 

The mountain stages occur right after Bastille Day too... so has anyone been to see a mountain stage or have any good pointers?  It looks like our best bet is to take a cheapy flight to Paris on Flybe and drive down from there...
