I don't pay any attention to any particular entry or another...just watch for the pure cheese value! ;D  Last year, my favorite band on it (the final) were among the total losers -- I don't know which it was except that they were from eastern Europe...there was an old woman in the group, everyone was beating on drums & galloping around the stage all crazy-like.  The music was terrible, but the visual entertainment value...priceless. ;D

Absolutely!! It's the most fun when you can watch it with a group of people -- preferably consuming vast quantities of alcohol at the same time. Sadly, I'm on my own this week so probably won't be watching.

yes you will admit it ..just for the anticipation of hearing "nil point"
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Finland looks promising, but I think my money might be on those cowboys from Germany! ;D

Ohhh I can't wait for this tonight.  My friend and I were going to go see the DaVinci Code, but decided the pull of Eurovision was too much.  We are having a girly night in with booze and junk food, best of all teletext for the non-English songs - the lyric translations are great!

It would be so cool if Finland won, about time there was a little bit of a shake up!  I am going to make my future hubby to be endure it next year, he won't know what hit him hahaha!!   [smiley=devilish.gif]

Spoiler: show
I couldn't agree MORE - saw the film last night. And I was a fan of the book.  Tom Hanks just looks annoyed and bored through the whole thing.  Thank GOD for Ian McKellan!

I can't believe I'm saying "I don't think my parents will let me watch it"  ::)  ;)
(they arrive today, so don't think their jet lag will hold out, and the tv's in the room where they'll be sleeping!)

Yaye!  The question is...can I keep DH interested enough in the Eurovision to keep watching it (and laughing at it) with me, or will he roll his eyes & head upstairs to the loft (and the PC)?  Well it follows on the heels of Dr Who, so he may be cooking & therefore it will be unavoidable for him to peek at it from the kitchen. :)

I actually watched this with a few people last night and it was quite amusing! I ended up voting and rooting for Finland and was very pleased when they won!  ;D ;D

I did end up watching most of this with my parents and swayed them somewhat to the musings of Terry Wogan ...

"Isn't it AMAZING?!"
 ;D

Love him.

And Finland ROCKED!!!!

It was an amazing show!  Even funnier when we gave our votes and said that, Fearne Cotton has gone up in my estimation.. who's gonna top Finland next year?!
