Remember my smoking preg. friend?

Well she gave birth a week early yesterday. The poor baby was just shy of 6lbs. He was born with some sort of infection so he is hooked up to an anti-biotic drip till tomorrow. So heartbreaking.

It's always sad to hear about little ones struggling.  I hope the little guy pulls through okay.

I pray for that baby.   if i do turn out pregnant, i'm surely quiting smoking.  i've wanted to quit for song long, but now i'll have a great reason to tell myself to quit...... and "don't pick up that butt!!!"

My best mate's sister smoked all thru her pregnancy because 'quitting was too hard'.  I had to bite my tongue all the time not to say anything to her.  I was so glad her son was born healthy.  Your friend's baby is in my thoughts.   

Fingers crossed for your friend's baby Pebbles.  Poor kid.

Aw, poor baby!  I used to smoke a pack a day.  The day I found out I was pregnant was the day I put those fags down.  Of course, being hellishly sick helped curb the cravings. 

Hope the baby recovers soon.

Poor baby!  They accused my SIL of smoking because Katie was so small.  She has never touched a ciggy in her life!!!  My other SIL's cousin was 9 months and smoking and drinking (Chain smoking and drinking a lot) at her wedding, I about died!!!

I hope everything turns out alright with the baby.

Vicki, if you can quit smoking when you get pregnant, you can quit smoking now. Your own health is important, too.

I'll be thinking of him- and hoping his mother gets her act together  Babies who have a difficult start can turn out absolutely fine, but good grief, this was so preventable!

Awful, simply awful  :\\\'( I hope he gets well and healthy soon. Does she even know that she is responsible for this??

poor little baby!!  It seems selfish to smoke while a live is growing inside you.
