Happy to announce the newest UK Yankee!

My daughter was born on the twenty second of April.

For some her-name-is-apparently-too-unique-google reasons I won't post her name, but she shares it with a popular fairground attraction and the titular character of a classic 80s teen film about a boy taking a sickie. ;)

Congrats hun! That's an awesome name and one f my favorite films! Also congrats to Camoscato and Noirem all your babies are beautiful :)

Been ages since I posted, but here I am... now just about 21 weeks pregnant, with an official due date of 14 November. Found out last week that it's a boy. It's our first, so I'm going through an internal 'mom vs. mum' debate.
Another shameless promotion for www.mclevey.com, the best place on the internet to buy art.

My baby arrived one week early on 25/11.  It went from perfectly normal boring pregnancy with nothing to developing cholestatis in the last week.  They called to schedule to induce me, but I was already in labour.

The baby had some issues, but we avoided the NICU.  We did have to spend 5 days in an open ward, which was not pleasant.

There are still some results that need to come back, but hopefully all will be well.

Congratulations, Bookgrl! What a stressful end to an uneventful pregnancy. I hope you get answers quickly and you can settle in at home.

We had our daughter, Vivian Mae, on Dec 17th after an only 2 hour labor!! Everyone is doing well and we had a wonderful Christmas with our best present ever - complete with all of my family from the US flying over for the holiday!

The birth experience in the UK was different than in the US, but I much preferred it - especially the tea and toast that came right after she was born :) It was also nice to get home within hours after her birth :)
