Go buy a cheap test in a drugstore!  It's worth it for the peace of mind.

Uggh, ladies, I am still very, very nauseous.  All day long, with light episodes of sick throughout the day.  Twelve weeks as well.  Shouldn't be surprised, the vomitting lasted till I was 4 months along last time.

Have you got SeaBands?  They sometimes help take the edge off.  I was always the Queen of Vomiting when pregnant.   :P

My heart goes out to you. I had morning sickness for at least 6 months with all four of my sons. Nothing really helped me but I did find that if I ate tiny bits throughout the day it wasnt so bad. Also dont let yourself get dehydrated!!!!!! I found I was at my worst when I was dehydrated. I chewed a ton of ice and popcicles when I was pregnant. I never tried the sea bands. Not sure I believe they would work.

I use SeaBands for motion sickness and trust me, THEY WORK.  I've given them as gifts to pregnant friends too and they swear by them as well.  I haven't seen any in the UK (I got mine ages ago at Target) but you can probably find them in Boots or Superdrug.

Smelling a lemon or an orange may help, as well as sucking on a peppermint, pieces of fresh ginger or drink a ginger tea.  Hang in there!  It'll be over soon.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

Mint was my friend through this last pregnancy, definitely.  I was sick for about 15 weeks, I think.  I especially liked Mentos, cuz they were chewy and a little sweet.

Thanks, ladies.  I forgot about those sea bands.  Will pop into Boots to get some today.  Twelve weeks and counting . . . till acid reflux takes over from the nausea.

Needless to say, we're only having two!  ;)

Are you drinking tap water? I don't know what the water quality is like where you are, but over here it makes old people and pregnant women sick. I found that drinking bottled water (watch the sodium count) alleviated a lot of my morning sickness, oddly enough. It may be worth your trying.

I had all day/all night sickness and had to be put on a perscription called Zofran. Its normal name is ondansetron hydrochloride. It is used for people going through chemo. It was very expensive if we did not have insurance, it would have been $1500 for 90 pills! As I am in the US I do not know if they have anything like this in the UK. It has no side effects on the baby. My only trouble was if I was even late by 20 minutes I felt awful. I still felt a bit ill but I was able to eat, which I could not do before I was taking the pills.

I got the Sea Bands.  They worked okay, but they CHAFFED my skin like hell to the point where I could no longer use them.  Thankfully, it's getting a wee bit better now in the 2nd trimester - only one episode of sickness of an evening as opposed to four.
