US Regional Accents

I was only in the UK for 3 weeks but when I came home I had picked up a few words from them - righto being one of those. lol.  when i was there i really didnt get any notice at all except from a few people who said "you must be american"... so I have an accent although no one can really explain to me what i sound like!!! And I did notice that when I'm on the phone with my friends mum (I say mum now instead of mom, lol) that she says 'bye' and its like Byyyy-eeeeeeeeeeeee! really loud. Always makes me laugh!
