Brighton
« on: June 14, 2005, 11:11:54 AM »
Some Girlfriends and I are going to go to Brighton in July.  (Some of them watched the Gordon Ramsey show when he went to have Soul Food there, and they want to go now)

Anyway, any suggestions for a nice place to stay!?  Good places to go?  I've only been once two summers ago and I loved it!  We were there less then a day and just walked on the beach really.

Thanks!

I can't wait to go to Brighton though!  It was so much fun last time!

I saw that, too, and would love to go!! The food looked fab! Bet she's really busy now after Gordon saved her skin!  ;)
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

This is so funny - I posted about this restaurant months ago if anyone needed a soul food fix :)

This hotel is supposed to be one of the best in Brighton and is right off the seafront and within very easy reach to the lanes (fab antique shops & boutique stores, there is a MAC & aveda hidden down there too and a marvellous lingerie shop and then main high street and also central enough to go visit the Marina if you wish to.

I took a friend around the pavilion recently and there is a charming tea room inside if you need a break (the tour is £6 per adult and it's interesting if you like that sort of thing- but it's warm up there and this weekend is supposed to reach low 80's down here and it WILL be BUSY :)

Enjoy :)

There's a GREAT milkshake place in the North Lanes.  Shake-aways (or something similar).   :)

Oh and there was a Dr. Who exhibition on the Pier last week, but I don't know if that Will still be there.  Don't be too disappointed if it's gone.   ;)
