With my youngest, I drank Virgin Marys like they were going out of style.  I couldn't get enough.  Normally - and now - I can't stand tomato juice or V8 or anything like that (what is the deal with Clamato juice?!).  But during pregnancy, I must have needed something that was in it.

I also ate a lot of spinach salad w/hot bacon dressing.  The cafe I used to eat it at joked he was going to come out coloured green with hot bacon fat running through his veins!  ;D

Oh gawd!  WHY did you have to mention hotdogs!?  The torture!  They're verboten, supposedly, for pregnant women, unless you cook 'em yourself.  I like mine BBQd till they've gone a little black, so I still have them when we make them at home.  But I'd like one RIGHT NOW.  With onions, relish - the real stuff, Guilden's, and ketchup.  Or, conversely, with chili.

And a 'Big Grab' of either Lays plain or just Ruffles.

A Frito pie would be nice right about now, too.

For both my pregnancies I almost lived on ready salted crisps with lime juice and Tapatio hot sauce poured over them. And mashed, salted avocadoes to dip the really soaked crisps at the bottom of the bowl into. Cleared my sinuses it did, but man I loved it. Still do!

Mmmm.  Guacamole sounds terrific.

I also love the smell of Imperial Leather Original soap for some odd reason.  And just soap in general.  I don't want to sniff gels, just soaps.

Guacamole is always a favourite of mine - a must on nachos.  There are times when I would really like some mexican food - some easy mexican food, but all we have is an expensive mexican restaurant here.  So, my choices are either make it myself (too much work) or fork over too much money when I get a craving for the stuff.  ~sigh~

Yeah, Vienna sausages in a Pillsbury biscuit.  Boak.

I much preferred Jimmy Dean 'sausage balls'  ;D.

With William, I actually craved Chinese Food, I HATED it before. Now I can tolerate it. I am a Thai Food fan, what can I say? And Very spicy Mexican, I had to Spice it up with Dave's Insanity sauce, and it STILL was not hot enough. Drinks: OJ

With Alexander, I craved Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches, which went pretty unfulfilled, unless I visited the US, which I had, twice whilst pregnant with him.  Again, spicy food. Drinks: OJ once again.

When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

I've heard (and read) about how some women crave things like dirt, charcoal, and laundry detergent powder! :o

It's called Pica, and is much more common than most people think.  Not a lot is known about the cause, but some doctors think that it is linked to an iron deficiency, even though the items craved may not contain much iron.  Another school of thought is that it's a psychological issue and not physiological.  Either way, I was freaked out my whole pregnancy that I'd have it.

I craved PB&J.  I probably ate at least one sandwich a day!  Guess I was a bit protein deficient.  :-\\\\
