adverts you love & hate

"Quit your jibber jabber"  I like the welcome return of Mr-T in the Snickers ads also like the Mini-T in the 118 ads.

i dig those toyota ads where one friend sabotages another because, two hours earlier, the second friend put his feet up on the dash of the car! just take a look at the driver's face when the guy's feet hit the dash--too funny. 

and as far as "auto glass repair, auto glass replace" goes, whoever wrote that jingle deserves a frying pan to the bollocks, because everytime it's on the radio it gets stuck in DH's head, and then i get to hear it all day long! 

Okay, so I may be the only one, but I absolutely LOVE the uswitch commercials with the blue satin choir bursting out of people's closets.  There's just something about that James Brown/Little Richard inspired dude saying "YOOOUUUUU....gotta SWITCH!" that cracks me up every. single. time.

 

Clover butter where the guy actually starts crying over his buttered bread (because it's so good?). Using emotional blackmail to get you to buy butter is just not on. lol

I HATE the commerical with the two chubby boys and the mini van... I think its Zafira? God I literally have to mute the TV when it comes on!! 

I can't stand the diet coke break one ..where the three women press the alarm in the lift and a guy comes down from the ceiling


I can't stand the virgin credit card one where the 3 guys are in the lift and one of them pretends to be listening to music.

I KNEW I wasn't the only one!

I love it so much that I found myself on the phone the other night with my sister, describing the whole scenario - even going so far as to sing "YOOOOOOOUUUUU...gotta SWITCH!" to her.  She was dying laughing.  I think part of why I love it so much is that the very first time I saw it, I just KNEW that my sister would think it was as funny as I did, and now when I see it, it reminds me of her.   Even though she's never actually seen it. 

As far as hated adverts go...there are a LOT of annoying insurance adverts out of there.  Especially CHURCHILL. I HATE that dog.  Also the Diamond car insurance one, and the "Sheila's Wheels" jingle.  Ergh.  I do, however, like the little medieval guy from the Hastings commercials...."oh-eight-hundred, double-oh, ten-sixty-six!"

Not me, but Josh LOVES that advert.  OMG, he perks up and you can't get him to look away.

He is like that for Sheila's wheels too.
