adverts you love & hate

The new 118 118 ad makes me a bit sad, just because Ray Parker Jr looks so old. But I do love the 'I ain't afraid of no goats!' part.

My current hate (other than the Cadbury ad, and the Haribo detective one where the annoying little girl flips everyone off at the end) is the trend for moisturisers, etc. to use the phrase 'if you aren't ready for surgery'. It's like it's a given that everyone will get a facelift or botox, and if you're too wimpy, these eye creams are the next best thing.

the Iggy Pop adverts make me wince.  Really don't need to see him without his shirt on, ugh.

I like the Maltesers advert where the girl switches her friends jeans for the doll's and puts 'em in the machine to fool her friend.  

That is one of new favorite commercials as well.     

Love the commercial for "Oops TV" on Sky1.   

I find the Virgin advert incredibly sexist...

Not sure it would appeal to the wider audience if it was a group of male stewards mincing their way through the terminal.....

The new NHS adverts freak me out.  Especially the stroke one.  Obviously its doing the trick marketing wise, but I don't like them.

I wasn't sure what you meant by this so I watched it when it was on this morning.  She doesn't flip everybody off.  She points at the Dad.

Well true, but they could have at least had one male steward and a female pilot... not just a male pilot and lots of women stewards strutting their stuff...

What's with all the car insurance comparison website adverts? Geez... how many people change their car insurance so often that they should be advertising these things all day long?

I think that's the point - it's supposed to be a parody of how things were 25 years ago.

I'm sure someone's already mentioned this one, but I can't help but love the Compare the Meerkat ones - has anyone been to the website??  You can actually compare meerkats!

Hee!   That's how I read it, anyway - could be wrong!

I <3 the meerkats.  The advert was funny enough, but the website just made the whole thing more awesome. 

And I think ALL the Cravendale adverts are brilliant!

I totally crease up every time I see the new Mr. T Snickers advert with the "toe-dipper." DH and I have to rewind it like 5 times because it's so freakin' hilarious!
