Late Start i Know...Ticket Tips Needed For LHR-SFO Trip In August!!

Heyhey everyone...

I know i waited too long to buy my ticket for flying to SF in August....if any one has any good leads purchasing at decent rates for the month of August please drop me a line . I want to travel one-way from LHR-SFO first or second week of August (has to be within the first 2 weeks of August though ) .

Ahh yes i have tried Opodo/flightmap/ebookers/travelocity/expedia/lastminute/travelzoo .

Just wishfull thinking i know but i'm hoping there are other avenues i havnt explored yet...i even looked into the air courier thingy..but no none of the London based courier companies are currently hiring ( atleast the ones i checked out ).

Cheapest i found far is £650 one way with 1 stop ..i dont really want round trip since i'm not sure my exact return date..

oh i almost forgot...does the old " stand-by-at-the-airport-for-last-minute-deals-on-unsold-seats " thing still work with the Airlines these days ?

The reason i ask is because i am quite flexible with the date of travel .
