They're high in fat, but also VERY good for you! Plus, it's all unsaturated fat. Much better for you than a plate of chips!

Fabulous on the skin too as a face mask, but confession time, I am one of those people who say " I hate avocado" and have never tried it!  It's too green and mashy for me.

Probably a bad time to mention that I've got a huge bowl of guac left over from our BBQ this weekend, huh?
;D

(lunchtime is getting mighty close.....)

See, but I need those avocado pits...I've always heard -- helpful hint sorta thing -- when you make guacamole up a little in advance (or when you have some left over), you put the pits into the bowl of guac to keep it fresher, keep it from going brown so quickly, etc.  It seems to work.

Guacamole doesn't last long enough in my house to turn brown! I love the stuff!! Nectar of the gods!!

I put lime juice in mine, too.

But the taste! It's pure heaven, very rich and yummy.

My guacamole has avocados, tomatoes, garlic, onion, cilantro (coriander) and lime juice. I too keep the pits to keep it fresher.
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

I'm a guacamole purist!
My guac has only 2 ingredients:  super ripe & soft Haas avocado, and garlic salt.
I love it like that...   :)

Doesn't that mean you'll only be 1/4 as scared as before?? ;)

Thought of you this morning, Aimiloo -- there's a station id for Channel 4 (I think) that's just a pic of an avocado.  Cracked me up...I pictured you sitting on your sofa watching telly and suddenly running to hide because of the unexpected sight of the avocado pit!  ;D  They really should be more considerate of avocadophobics, don't you think?  ;)

Too funny!   ;D  Well, if nothing else, you know that every single one of us thinks of you when we see an avocado...that's worth something, right?   ;)
