Crystal Light
« on: July 10, 2005, 12:51:54 PM »
Does anyone know if I can find Crystal Light or something similar here? I have a Tesco and ASDA to shop at. I looked but didn't see anything... maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. I'm just looking for something to help me cut back on the amount of soda I drink.

Thanks!

Some of the Robinson's cordials are sugar-free.  And there are plenty of flavoured waters here!

I bring mine back with me when I visit the US.  They are so light they don't add much weight to my cases.  My friends mail me some if I run out.
I swear I am addicted to that stuff!

My husband bought me some dilute stuff that is for flavoring water. Not the normal dilute stuff but stuff that makes your water taste like the flavored waters you can buy on the shelf. It's pretty good.

It's "MacB Just A Dash" from ASDA. It tastes like the flavored waters but works out to be a lot cheaper.

Look what they have now:

What is crystal light made from? Anyone know?

I only know it's got artificial sweeteners galore, because a few sips gives me a tremendous migraine.

I know I've asked this question in the past, but maybe something new is available that I haven't heard of, or maybe there are some new people around who have insider info. Anyway, I'm always on the lookout for seltzer or sparkling water that's slightly fruit-flavoured, but has NO sweeteners at all in it. I don't want sugar, and I especially don't want artificial sweeteners. I used to be able to find tons of brands of unsweetened flavoured seltzers in the US, but I've never seen anything here. Anyone?

I looked on the waitrose, asda, and tesco websites and found nothing as far as sweetner-free water, seltzers.

The shocking thing I did find was that some of the flavoured waters contain up to sixteen teaspoons of sugar! :o

Sorry call me crazy but I love my Crystal Light, artificial sweetners and all! The new to go packs you pour in your bottle of water are great! Walmart also makes them, and actually have more flavor choices and are just as good but cheaper!!  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Sainsburys has a lemon flavoured sparking water, in a green glass bottle, like Perier. It doesn't have sweeteners in it either. Just water and lemon. ;)
