And?? Was it wonderful?? Please let me live vicariously through your homemade ice cream!!  ;D

Seriously!!!  Come on now ;D

(Was it from one of the recipes I sent to you? I hope it was good!)

It was from the little recipe book that came with the machine... very simple, basic recipe!

And it was incredible.... the texture was so, so nice!  I remember home-made ice cream from when i was a kid and it always had little crystals in it and i hated the texture, but honestly... this stuff would have given Ben & Jerry a run for their money!

I'm making a batch of chocolate now, using Mexican cocoa powder (which has cinnamon in it!).  ;D

OK, went to the store and got the last one.  It's so cute!  Belindaloo (I think you might be away now) it's small, but I don't know how small your freezer is so let me know.

Thanks for the recommendation otterpop!  I will use it soon.  I have to buy the ingredients first.

We have an ice cream maker. We got it from Hammond's for about £25. It's made by Rival. You put the drum in the freezer for 24 hours, before you want to use it. We just leave it in the freezer. If you want one where you don't have to freeze anything, they cost loads. Gaggia makes one for about £300.

We made the best strawberry ice cream ever on Saturday. They're worth the investment, if you think about it.

OK, made some strawberry ice cream.  (I got some lush strawberries at the farmers market today)

It's not the best, but for my first time not so bad ;D  I used Splenda instead of sugar.  Also not so sure about the measurements, I felt like I didn't use enough, and not used to UK measurements at all.  All in all pretty good and the machine is great!

Really all that matters is that Rich likes it and has said Mmmm a few times now.

I broke down and ordered one! I think it looks to be small enough to fit in my freezer, Stacey. Yum!! I ordered the Phillips one from Lakeland. I can't wait!!! My excuse is that it's Guy's birthday next week and I'll be a good girlfriend and make him homemade ice cream for his special birthday dinner ... but we all know this toy is really for me! ;)

Yeah Belindaloo!  It is great and not too much work.  Just be careful with the egg, milk and sugar/splenda mixture when heating.  It goes fast and can start to cook, not good :D  I am making chocolate today!

If you want that e-book I have of ice cream pm me your email.

I am making chocolate today!

You'll have to let me know how the chocolate one comes out. It's not my favorite, but that's what I'll have to make for my chocoholic BF.

I PMd you my email address! Thanks! ;D

Oh, no!! I hope mine's OK! What happened to yours? Were you trying to cram too much ice cream in there?!? ;)

I've already put my bowl in the freezer (it fit fine), so I can make ice cream tomorrow!

You don't need to keep it in there, you got the one from lakeland right?  I'm not sure what happened, but I did make 2 batches of ice cream, strawberry and chocolate.  Both were great and both with splenda!
