I do a cheater's version of bubble and squeak. When making normal mashed potatoes, I add a bit of chopped frozen cabbage and chopped fresh onion to boiling potatoes about 5-8 minutes before the potatoes are finished cooking.  Then mash as normal.  Yum -- no waiting for the next day for bubble and squeak.

That reminds me of when the kids were little and we couldn't get them to eat  greens,used to mash sprouts or cabbage into the spuds like that and call it "special potatoes",they loved it.

there's bubble and squeak in a can :o that just has "Gross" written all over it...man! woman, were you drunk ??? :P
