There was tons of washing up which he refused to do that night, so I offered to come around the next evening after work to help clean up.   ;)

OOh you floozy ;) LOL!

Seriously, a man who goes to that much of an effort AND cooks a mean Roast Beef, well, he has to be worth marrying!

Don't worry, I made him wait!   ;) :o

It was during the washing up that he asked me out on our first date!

I don't mind beans on toast, although I don't like them too frequently.  Once and a while is just about right!

okay well i'm gonna give him some credit.  while we were dating and i was in boston, he would attempt some great meals...

it's only AFTER we were married and i moved here that his cullinary interests dropped to beans on toast  ::)

i love to cook, it's ok.  and he'll cook if i give him instructions..it's just there is so much overcooked meat a girl can eat.   ;)

I'm with Aimiloo on that one

Phil's first  cooked meal was a grilled salmon with a white wine sauce...I was warned by my flatmate's b/f that it was his signature "get in there" meal...sadly it didn't work ...he then tried with a lasagne ...na-ah...it was when I took him to see "De la Guarda" and I cooked him Coq au vin when he told me he loved me  ;D

had it during a visit w/ my brit - really good w/ cheese :) Not something I'd crave, but I could eat it once in a while. It's the brit's mac n cheese imo.

Ooh onto the "perfect cooked breakfast thread"

Eggs (sunny side up)
Bacon (semi crispy)
Mushrooms (in butter, lots of )
Sausages (I like herby ones)
Saute Potatoes/home fries with lots of black pepper on
1 slice toast (for egg spillage on top)
1 slice bread/butter for bacon/egg sarnie

*tummy now rumbling*

BLAH! I just cant do sunny side up eggs.  [smiley=puke.gif]
I dont care much for eggs under the best of circumstances but if I have them they must be scrambled DRY. And no burnt butter on them. I would rather have French toast over full English any day!

I can't do eggs that look like eggs. Scrambled are fine, but better yet is an omelette.

I think my ideal breakfast would be a big cheesy omelette with mushrooms and other veggies in it. Then loads of thick toast with real butter.

Nothing sweet for me. I don't do sweet in the morning. Just ask my BF. ;)

UGH... a runny egg yolk ruins the entire idea of a fry up for me.
The boy in my works canteen is really good... he always puts aside the 'overcooked' egg , or the one with the accidentally broken yolk for me!  :)
