Any one been to Compiegne France (Btwn Paris and Lille)

We are heading there this weekend for a wedding and I just want to know what to expect.  I've never been outside of Paris and I'm not the biggest fan there.  (I love the food, wine and shopping, just can't get over my not speaking French)  Anyway, just wondered if anyone had been there.

Well, I'm back.  I just have to say 10 thumbs up for Compiegne!!!  I LOVED it!  So if you want to get away but don't want to be in Paris, you can catch a train for about 9 euros, and 50 minutes later you are there.  (Same station as the Eurostar, Nord)

Anyway, I will post pictures tomorrow.

Sounds awesome, Stacey!! Some friends and I just booked a weekend in Lille for early next month -- for the Braderie! Yaye! I can't wait!!
