DEFINITELY half full! I border on /too/ optimistic sometimes.

What did you want to be when you grew up when were a little kid? Did that work out for you? ;)

I wanted to be the U.S. Ambassador to Russia.  Though that is obviously not my current role, I majored in Russian language and literature and I now work as a tour manager specializing in the former Soviet Union.  It's a happy compromise.

Sara Rue is cute--I haven't heard of her before.

If and when I need a shoulder to cry on it is my hubby's.

In the movie about your life, who would play your boyfriend / partner / spouse--either current or an ex?

Somebody quirky - maybe Johnny Depp? (but only if I get to play myself!)

Has anything spectacularly craptastic happened to you lately?

No - things have quieted down a bit thank goodness.

Have you ever mooned anyone?

No, that's not something I would ever even consider doing.  :o

Have you ever been in the middle of a mosh pit?  Do they even still have mosh pits these days?

Of course - I'm from Seattle!  But seriously, yes.  One of the advantatges of being a teenage girl at a concert with a mosh pit is that you can ALWAYS find some huge guy to lift you up for a crowd surf.  It was fun, but my mosh pit days are definitely over.  I like to sit down at concerts now.

Which person, now or in history, would you most like to have lunch with?  (this has probably been asked a zillion times in this thread, but it's one of my favorites)

My mom (who died last month).

What piece of clothing did you get the most fantastic deal on & something that you wear regularly?  (mine is a purple woolen overcoat I bought 5 years ago in a Harrogate charity shop for £15, and I still regularly get compliments on it)

Oooo--I want to answer this one, too!  Giorgio DeChirico (the grandfather of surrealism) and Martin Hayes (Irish fiddler).

I'd say there are a few pieces since I regularly shop at charity shops.  The Next jeans which I wear to work all the time, the black Converse high tops which remind me of my college days, and the Warehouse blue wool zip up jumper which I also wear all the time.

What article of clothing have you bought recently that you regret buying?

Well, it's not an article of clothing I bought, but one I picked out for my Christmas present. It's a black cardigan that I picked because it was cute, but the first time I washed it, all of the buttons came off!

What kind of store could you spend hours in and not get bored (ex. for me it's a vintage clothing shop)?

It's a tie between pizza and chocolate - I could eat either of them every single day if I had the opportunity.  Ok, I'd probably get tired of pizza eventually, so chocolate.

What food or foods can you not stand to eat?

Well, I have a potentially life-threatening shellfish allergy, so I can't stand to eat them! Heh. Non-deadly foods I can't stand include pork pie (the pork jelly inside makes me vaguely nauseous) and fried chicken livers (my dad loves them though...bleh!).

Do you like to sunbathe/tan, or do you prefer to avoid tanning?

If we called them Sad Meals, no one would buy them.
