I've had pre-cancerous moles removed in the past so no sunbathing for me.

What is your favorite adult beverage?

Vodka Cranberry.

Do you own more DVDs or CDs?
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

CDs.  Both DH and I don't see the point of collecting (and spending £££ for) films we would probably not watch again very much, if at all.

Do you miss hot weather?  (Oh how I miss Caladesi Island beach!  :\\\'()

Nah, not really.  I'll never miss the kind of hot we got in Philadelphia in summer--it was simply gross and disgusting.

Do you have a load of glass or other recyclables building up in your house that you need to take somewhere to get rid of?

Well not exactly...just DH's VHS tape collection to make room for some of my stuff around here. Really if you didn't look in the wash basket you'd not know a woman lived here.

Have you thought about what you're having for dinner tonight?

Portland has an interesting program where you buy special City of Portland trash bags, and the cost of the bags pays for the trash/recycling collection program. So every Wednesday they come and collect our big blue bins of recycling. So yes to recycling, no to build up!

And yeah, I've thought about dinner. My friend and I are going out for sushi. Wee!!! :D

Where do you plan to spend your next vacation?

Have you been peeping in through the windows of my back porch?!  :o :)

Where do you plan to spend your next vacation?

Proper holiday - sigh - I don't know.  We have some family get-togethers planned for this year, including a trip to the US in May for my niece's graduation which will cost us like a vacation but probably won't really be a vacation.  Boo.

I'm hoping we can go back to Spain in October (for DH's 40th birthday) but not sure if we'll be able to afford it just yet.

Where did you spend your last vacation/holiday?

The last vacation I had that didn't involve visiting family members or friends was Hawaii in 2007. Went to Honolulu to watch my friend elope. It was a BLAST!

What's the best book you read in the past year?

Ha ha--no!  :D  We just dropped off a huge load of glass today at MiL's--she has curbside collection of glass and as you know, we don't.

We also took an old TV to a recycling center--it was a really interesting place and they recycled almost anything there.

Hmmm....probably one of the psychology books I took out from the library, but I can't remember the name of it right now.

What was the worst book you've read (or tried to get through) in the past year?

We just walk our glass recycling down to the collection thingie at Morrisons, but it does tend to pile up on us before we get around to doing it.

It was a tossup between On Chesil Beach, and another book that - in the interest of being nice - I'd probably better not say right now.  ;)

Did you ever walk out of a film at the cinema, and if so, what was it & why?

Yes, that Johnny Depp movie about the killer barber?  Basically J and I were supposed to be at a concert that night which got canceled an hour AFTER it was supposed to start.  We ran to the cinema in the cold and rain and that was the only thing available.  We thought it was a good idea but I just went to sleep so we left. :)

Have you ever been to the cinema more than once to see the same film?

Oh I loved Sweeney Todd, but we saw it on DVD!  :)

Yes, I am sure that I've been to see the same film at the cinema more than once, but I can't remember what - it was before I got used to getting films on video and then DVD, so it would have been a long, long time ago!

What are you daydreaming about right now?

Travelling to Cardiff airport with my two cats and arriving in Dublin without a hitch!

If you're married, how did you wear your hair for your wedding?

I had a up-do (I have long hair) with little ringlets dangling about (which took loads of curling iron & hairspray & were bloody hard to keep curled up - hence my hair afterwards was FRIED), and little white orchids pinned into the up-do part.  You can sort of see it here.

How will you wear your hair for your wedding?

Ha! It will be an up-do and I'm probably going to put some of the pearl hairpins or jewelled clips in it. There are some pretty examples with brooches in them, which I haven't thought of! Oh, and I'll have a veil for the ceremony.

Is there anything you regret about how your wedding day went?
