Yes.  It was completely lame, but the afterparty was a blast.  I think I still have my dress in a box somewhere, which makes it all the more pathetic.  :P

Do you usually buy gifts off a registry for a wedding, or pick something out on your own?

Depends on how well I know the people I am buying for. If I don't know them well I may just buy something off the registry, or at least get an idea from that. Close friends I like to try and give something more original/personal.

How many people, if any, do you buy presents for the holidays? (I am not sure everyone celebrates Christmas...trying to be politically correct here   :) )

I only buy 2 presents, usually... one each for my niece and nephew.
The rest of my family have decided not to buy for eachother anymore, which suits me fine.
DH buys for his own family, so i dont have to get involved in that.
And DH and i dont buy for eachother, but we do make up a stocking for eachother....  :)

When do you start planning your New Years Resolutions?

I don't make New Years Resolutions (waste of time :P).  My only resolution is to party down on New Years Eve in Edinburgh this year!

If you do make New Years Resolutions, what do you think will be your No 1 resolution this year?

Do you have a favourite piece of jewelry and, if so, why is it your fave?

When I was about seven, my mom made me up as a Morton salt box.  She cut out the big round circle of cardboard and painte it white.  She made a piece shaped like the little metal spout and covered it in foil and attached it to the top, and drew on a price that looked like it has been stamped with one of those old fashioned price stampers that stamped in purple.  Then for the bottom she took a bed sheet and stenciled on it "Morton".  The letters were white and the rest was navy blue, and she stapled the sheet around the edge of the circle (which I stuck my head through) so it hung around me like a cylinder.  I carried a box of salt so everyone knew what I was supposed to be.  It was pretty cool.

What was the most embarassing costume you ever wore?

I don't think I have worn anything embarrasing yet. I've worn some very boring ones tho.  ;)

Do you have a "fallback gift" that you buy for people when you're not sure what to get them? ( I am big on giving windchimes)

A crystal something or other.  Fancy or contemporary, depending on the person.  But it could be a dish or vase, or something like that.  I've found that not many people have a pretty dish to use for candy or something and appreciate that sort of thing.

When you wrap a gift do you make a bow or use the stick on kind?

Usually the stick-on kind...  Though my mom had the most fab little bow-maker thingamidge that I managed to abscond with when we were cleaning out her house -- it's around somewhere but prolly in storage still in Florida.

Are you good at wrapping presents?  (I mean do they end up looking nice, or kinda sloppy, etc -- sometimes this is a man/woman thing I've found!)

Depends on how much of a hurry I'm in.  :)  If I wrap it the day before and take my time it's always very nice, but when I'm doing a mountain of Christmas gifts for the kids in the family, and my back starts hurting from bending over while I'm sitting on the floor (I'm already dreading it) they start to look a little messy on the edges.  Doubtful though that the 9 year olds will notice.  ;)

Do you get a fresh tree or use artificial?

I have a little white tree with blue & white fibreoptic lights.
I know it sounds tacky, but the colour scheme throughout my house is blue, white and silver, so... it matches!

Have you seen the film 'Super Size Me', and if so, what did you think of it?

I loved it! Poor guy! I loved when his GF was going on about his "stamina".

Do you own fishnet stockings?  :o

haha, I took too long writing my "Supersize Me" response and missed out on getting to answer that question!

I own some faux fishnet (they're a fishnet pattern, but the open spaces have hosiery in them.) I haven't gone full-on fishnet yet because it'd probably be weird for me to wear to my job AND because it seems like there'd  be a bit of a draft with all the holes! But, I just got some high calf boots so I'll probably be more apt to pick up some fishnets (more of the stockings will be covered up, so it won't be so cold or work inappropriate.)

Do you have to wear skirts/dresses on a regular basis (for work or anything else?) And, if so, do you like that or love it?
