Probably The Hobbit.

Do you speak or would you like to speak a 2nd (or more) language(s)?
Yes it is a bit overwhelming at times, but when I think of her it all becomes just small things for me to overcome.

Met Lynsey online 2008.
Real life meeting planned for June or July 2009.

No, but I'd like to learn to speak Irish someday.

What is a favorite book you read more than once as a child?  (One of my faves was "Are You There God?  It's Me, Margaret" by Judy Blume.)

Anne of Green Gables.  I read it (and sequels) so often the books fell apart.  I still read them.

How old were you when you first began reading for pleasure?
On s'envolera du même quai
Les yeux dans les mêmes reflets,
Pour cette vie et celle d'après
Tu seras mon unique projet.

Je t'aimais, je t'aime, et je t'aimerai.

I can't really remember exactly--but I had a big collection of Dr. Seuss and "pop-up" books (anybody remember them?) from a very young age that I loved.  I have always loved to read...

What book have friends of yours raved about, but you tried to get into and just couldn't?

My cousin went through a Russian lit phase and convinced me to read The Idiot by Dostoevsky and I hated it. Halfway through, I realized life was too short to torture yourself by reading a book you hate, so I threw in the towel. Also, The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing was recommended by a friend and it ended up back on the shelf. Couldn't get into it.

Have you ever smoked a cigarette? (If you have any, will you send me some?  :P)

I've smoked a lot of cigarettes and quite about 4 years ago. I loooove smoking and miss it a lot but I will never go back to it. (Good luck, Jewlz! Keep an eye on your own ticker, I think it will be encouraging.)

Have you ever had or would you consider getting Botox?

I've never seriously considered it but I sure as heck would get it if I wanted it.

Are you close with your siblings?

Nope. My dad was married before he married my mom, so I have two half-brothers. Then both my parents remarried since I've been an adult, so I have two step-sisters and four step-brothers. Yet with all of those siblings, I was raised an only child. A true family of the aughts.

What's your favorite memory of your favorite grandparent?

One nice memory is of my Zada (grandfather--my mom's dad) taking my sister and I to the beach in Ventnor, NJ (my grandparents lived there).  It was only several blocks to the beach so we would walk.  The sun was too much for my Bubby (grandmother) so she stayed home usually.

Are you a sunworshipper or would you rather be in the shade?

I hate the sun, always sit in the shade.

You can find out the date of your death. Would you?

No, I wouldn't want to count down the days. I'd rather just live not knowing.

What's your favorite breakfast?

Sitting outside at the pub yesterday, at a picnic table in the sun.  8)

When was the last time you had American style pancakes with bacon (or sausage) smothered with maple (or another favorite) syrup?  Yum!

Probably during Eid when I was in uni-I used to go with my friends to IHOP in the early hours of the morning before fasting...goodness that was a good 4 years ago!!

What food can you eat that instantly brings back memories of childhood?
