Yes, my Mom packed my lunch when I was a kid. I'm ashamed to say that I always hated the fruit or veg (carrot, grapes, apple, raisins, whatever) and thew it away. 
As a kid, I started packing my own lunches at a very young age because I wanted *more* carrot and celery sticks, etc. and less Fritos and Cheetos! I called them "special lunches".
Hmmm, if I do need to snack I try to make it as healthy as possible. That being said, today I ate a Snickers bar an hour after breakfast which is sort of not like me and very bad!
