No, I don't remember thinking that.  Not that many people have my name and it's not so unusual as to make a kid self-conscious.

Did you have a relative, teacher, or other grown-up constantly call you by the wrong name when you were younger?

Lots of people did (and still do) call me by the wrong name.  I don't even mind it anymore really.

Would you watch a movie in another language with subtitles?

Sure!

Have you ever had to put the subtitles on when watching a movie that's actually in English (or whatever your first language is)? My husband needs them on when watching 'The Wire'!  ::)

I haven't, but my mom sure needed them when we watched The Full Monty. Heh.

Have you ever been to a movie in a cinema in a country where you didn't speak the language?

Yes. I saw an AWFUL David Caruso movie in France in 1990 called Kings of New York. It was cops and robbers, so it wasn't that hard to follow. And thus began a long history of Caruso hatred. ;)

Ever watched an entire Bollywood movie?

Sure. I don't understand most of the foreign B movies shown on MST3K. Prince of Space and Pumaman (what, it's Italian!) spring to mind.

Is there a food item you absolutely will not be economical about buying? For instance, my boyfriend won't buy own brand jam, and I won't buy own brand chocolate hazlenut spread. (We're toast snobs, apparently.)

Until I was 5, but I barely remember it.

What's one thing (instrument, sport, hobby, whatever) you gave up as a child, but really wish you had stuck with now?

While I do sometimes find the whole "celebrities saving the world" concept a bit blown out of proportion and ridiculous, I think it's a nobel thing to do as long as it helps at least someone. I am not a fan of Bono per se and I think his suggestions about Africa's debt are unrealistic, his heart is in the right place and that's what matters.

I watched 'Hannah Montana' with my nephew the other day and I didn't hate it.  :-[

Do you have a nickname for your spouse?

Yep! I call him Motherload, as in "I hit the..." ML for short. :) Strange, but it works. :)

Does your significant other have a nickname for you?
