Potato salad, I can never get the potatoes done just right  >:(

If you could do any one thing for another person right now, despite cost, location, etc.. what would you do?

Buy my mother a house.

If you could have a maid for a year or a chef for a year - which would you choose?
Ask and ye shall be babbled at.

Sewing with my Grandma.  Or sitting and watching her sew.  She is an amazingly talented seamstress, and I learned to love it myself from her.  Cooking as well.  I love her dearly.

Is there any country you would NEVER want to visit, and why?

Nope, I want to go to at least 50 countries. (I was in ten this summer...a good start!) There are some I would hesitate to go to (Iraq, afganistan, columbia) but I would probably end up going just for the cultural experiance/adventure

Favorite place to go on vacation and why?

If i had my choice, i would spend all my annual leave days lounging around at home.
I dont like to travel, and have always just seen 'vacations' as a hassle.

Cats :)  (most farms I've been on have had lots of cats running around)  Then sheep after cats.

What family member are you closest (emotionally) to & why?  (not counting SOs)

My Dad, then my Grandma.  Mom and I are good, but not what I would consider "tight" the way some mother/daughter's are.

Are you goofing off today when you should be working?

No. I am still home because I stupidly left my purse in my unlocked car last night and it was stolen. :( I had shoved it under the front seat when I went to the gym after work and completely forgot about it when I got home. I rarely lock my car so they had easy access. I have been on the phone for an hour now cancelling everything but the good news is the Deputy called and said they found my purse. The bastard stole a car and they caught him/her (?) and my purse was on the front seat. The Deputy who called says it looks like everything is there. I am waiting for them to arrive !!

A question might be nice, eh? :)

Sorry......a bit distracted!

Have you had your purse/wallet stolen? What was the part you were most bummed about losing?

Yes!  It was horrible.  I was about 19, and had it snatched while walking to my car at the end of the night when I worked at a mall.  I lost everything.  Luckily I had spent my Christmas money from my dad the day before or I would have lost all that cash.

(so sorry you had to go through that - it's horrible)

Have you ever had your home broken into?

There's a sweet little old neighbor lady who lives across the street from us -- about 80-ish.  A year or two before I moved here, she was mugged (on our street, not raped) -- beat up & her purse stolen by a couple teenage yobs.  She had about 5 quid on her.  She has permanent nerve damage from the beating she took, which has rendered her more infirm in her old age.  Thing is - where we live is relatively safe -- I don't feel unsafe, it's our high street, & there are regular police foot patrols, etc. :-\\\\  The lady's SIL (who lives two doors down from us) says it was simply a 'window of opportunity' thing -- after dark when she was walking back from Morrisons & she was a vulnerable target.  The bright sides to the story:  she was helped by passersby after the attack, the perpetrators were caught & punished, AND a young lad they knew found her purse (with IDs etc still inside) a few days later & returned it.

Have you ever eaten Indonesian or Malaysian food? :)
