I used to, but not in recent adult times.

Do you ever dream in a different language?

When I was taking French classes I did sometimes.  Last night I dreamed a little in a Scottish accent due to watching a Scottish TV show.

Will you be going home for the holidays and if so where?

Well I am already home right now.  :)  But we usually go to my in-laws' house in Norfolk for Christmas, and we usually do a Thanksgiving thing of our own here at home.

Have you ever made jam?
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

- from Anthem, by Leonard Cohen (b 1934)

No but I want to!

What do you miss about your own family's Thanksgiving in the US?
Even after all this time the sun never says to the Earth "You owe me."
Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky.

I miss the pierogies - too lazy to make them, so I just by them from the Polish stall at the City Market. Pumpkin pie.

But I don't really do Thanksgiving usually. Mostly just miss the company of friends and family that aren't here.

Did you do anything unexpected this weekend?

Not unexpected, but unusual.  Went to a music workshop and learned some Eastern European music.

What was your favorite book(s) when you were around 10-13 years old?

Judy Blume books and I thought I was so naughty reading some of them! I used to hide them and be all sneaky thinking I would get in trouble if my mom knew what they were about. Of course I realise now that any mom should be happy for their child to read them :).

What is your favourite picture book --either from your childhood or to read to young children.

Judy Blume books

Me, too!
I don't have a very strong memory of picture books, but something about three kittens (no, they didn't lose their mittens  :) ) who had all different colours of paints and mixed them and spilled them all over and the different colours they made from mixing them.

Did you really enjoy reading / studying any of the classics in high school, if so which ones?  (I loved reading "Great Expectations" and "Wuthering Heights" in about the 10th grade.

I did my BA in English Lit, so yes... all of them! ;D I particularly loved reading Crime and Punishment and Slaughterhouse 5. And I'll admit I don't like Melville or Conrad. There's something about books that are focused on boats that I can't stand!

When was the last time you had cotton candy?
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

Probably 20 years ago!  I look at it now and think, "gross!"

When was the last time you had an ice cream from the ice cream man?

It's only been a few weeks. We like to get 99s from the ice cream man in the park!  ;D

When was the last time you took a nap?

No.  However, I am now taking a B Complex, MSM, and Silica gel on a daily basis.  (For my hair which is only half as thick as it used to be!  >:( )

Do you take any supplements or herbs on a regular basis?

Do you wear a bathrobe/dressing gown?

Just when I get out of the shower.

What was the last birthday gift you bought for someone?
