I don't think camel is very flattering on me because it doesn't add much to the pale complexion. I'd need something colorful in addition to it.

Do you have enough closet space to fit all your clothes in the UK?

Absolutely, positively nowhere near enough closet space.  :( All the out of season clothes are stored in our suitcases, and there still isn't enough room... and I still have a bunch of clothes at mom's I'd like to get over here.  ::)

Do you still listen to the music you grew up with, or have your musical tastes changed?

No way!  My tastes have changed radically over the years / decades!  From silly pop and disco in the 70s (when I was quite young) to rock to new wave and punk to metal to alternative, grunge, folk, medieval, trad--you name it!  Ya gotta change with the times!

Without googling do you know what song(s) was a hit the year you were born?  OK, I guess you can google if you don't know--what song(s) was (were) it (they)?

In the cinema was 'Alice in Wonderland' with my mom and niece while back in the States waiting for my visa. On DVD was 'The Departed' (again... we've watched it several times) We don't go to the cinema much unless it is something we REALLY want the big screen effect for.

Do you name your cars?

No.

How do you feel about giving animals 'human' names?

If the name suits the animal then it doesn't matter.  I had a stuffed cat named Henrietta when I was little (named after Henrietta Pussycat on 'Mr. Rogers'.  Our neighbor's cat is Dylan and it suits him perfectly!

How do you feel about naming a baby girl child after a flower? (Daisy, Poppy, Rose (that's a classic, actually), etc.)

Rose and Violet are both classic, 'ladylike' names. I think Daisy, Poppy and some of the others are iffy though. The name Daisy makes me think of either Daisy Duke or an airhead. I suppose it depends on the area you live, and how acceptable trendy names are.

What was the coolest Christmas gift you received as a kid?

We did Chanukah, and never got extravagant presents.  My favorites were crafty-type stuff like candle-making kits, knitting 'machine', etc.

How do you cope with the long winter nights between the end of the holiday celebrations and the warmer weather?

This will be my first "real" winter (I'm from California), so I will find out soon. I do foresee a lot of tea drinking and baking. Maybe I'll pick up crocheting again and make a scarf with some nice wool yarn I brought over.

What country is next on your must-see list?

Neverending new experiences, with all the places to go (either towns or different places in town) that I've never been to.

Do you do your own painting and/or wallpapering or hire someone to do it for you?

I do it all myself!  I paint way to often and would never to able to afford changing the walls as often as I do if I had to pay someone.  Poor hubby has been known to walk in from a long day at work, do a double take, and ask if the kitchen was always that color!

What are your plans for Thanksgiving this year?

We plan to get a group of friends together and go to a carvery like we did last year, for Thanksgiving day (evening, of course, because no one gets the day off) and then go to BIL's house on Saturday because they do a Thanksgiving meal for us. If we don't do it that way, we will go to BIL's on Thanksgiving evening. There will also be calls from home from the family and extended family. And, of course, the Christmas tree will be going up.  ;D

What have you been doing to enjoy this unexpected gift of warm weather?

Two of my boys had their birthday parties today.  ;D  Tomorrow we have Rugby and then I am going to go shopping for back to work clothes.  ;D ;D

How do you deal with sending gifts back to the US affordably?  (Yes, I know, I have turned is into an informational thread!)
