most romantic holiday was many years ago, when my ex and i hired a motor home and cruised the California coast... we had barbecues on beaches, looked at sunsets, and drank lovely wine every night from these gorgeous goblets he'd brought me as a pressie.

Have you bought a 2006 calendar yet?  Or do you normally get one as a Christmas gift?

No, we haven't.  We usually manage to score one off the in-laws when we're there at Christmas.  We like the foodie (recipe) calendars that come with the Sainsburys magazine or in the Observer, so MIL will prolly give us her Sainsburys calendar (again).

Not resolutions...but what plans have you for the New Year?  What do you want to happen, what's going to happen in your life next year?

Continue my weight loss progress, go to see my friend in Cobham in Jan, go to Germany in Feb, go to Islay in May, go to Texas to see my family in Sept....   those are my only plans so far.

When were you last in the pub?

Continue my weight loss progress...

Me too.  Last year at this time, I was two stone heavier -- and the year before that, two stone heavier still.  If I can lose two stone again this year -- I'll be a happy camper.

...go to see my friend in Cobham in Jan, go to Germany in Feb, go to Islay in May, go to Texas to see my family in Sept....

And I remember you saying you don't like to travel...

When were you last in the pub?

Last night.

What did your workplace do for the Christmas do?

Havent seen my friend in Cobham since i was 18,  have to do Germany to make up for the last trip to Germany which i ruined for my DH,  we ALWAYS go to Islay in spring/summer... no way out of this, and i havent seen my family for 3 years and they're nagging me, so off to Amarillo I go...  :-\\\\

What is your favourite holiday?

A motorized pen that writes in circles. From my boyfriend of 2 years at the time. (No wonder he's an ex)

My first Christmas with my ex, he didnt warn me that Santa brought everyone underwear in their Christmas stockings at his family's Christmas. Was a little unsettling to get underwear from his Grandma at first though she did have good taste lol.

What is your favorite family holiday food?

My grandma used to make apricot rolls. They had this delicate cream cheese pastry shell. SOOOOOO good! I have the recipe but they never taste like hers did.  :-\\\\

Do you open presents carefully or just tear into them?

A little bit of both.

Are you a paper saver?  Bows?  The whole she-bang?

Yes, and I buy coloured paper without the christmas stuff on it to use for birthday presents etc. during the rest of the year. (and sometimes I find gifts too....)

What is the best present you got this year?
