we  didn't have a cafeteria.. so brown bagged it.. in HS we  had  a lunch truck come   but hardly did that either..

I crocheted (sp?) a big a pretty baby blanket for my daughter while I was pregnant.  She's 13 now and it's still all in one piece.  The funny thing is that once it was finished, I never crocheted again and now can barely remember how.

Lots when I was younger to the neighborhood kids; wee bags I sewed, painted rocks, etc until my mother found out and made me give all the money back!!  >:( I was so steamed....only charged a nickle or dime for all my hard work too!

No, I never needed to forget something cooking just to set off the smoke detector!  Back in the US, I once nearly set the kitchen on fire when I was actively cooking.  I had to use the fire extinguisher and got that white stuff ALL over the kitchen. :-[
