Well...I have met a lot of friends in my life before I met Steve, but I reckon you don't mean that -- rather you mean after I moved here?  I did meet Anne who is the American wife of a British UKY forum person, and then after that -- the people at my (last) job.  Still you could say I wouldn't have met them if it weren't for my living here (which is because of Steve).  Very tricky question! :)

What have you been doing today (Saturday)?

Depends on how bad I want to see it and if I can get anyone to see it with me, otherwise will wait until it's out on DVD.

Did you buy anything fun for yourself today?

He first wrote me 12 Oct 02, and we first saw each other 18 Jan 03.  (Married 14 Aug 04.) :)

Would you (or do you--if you are) like to be a stay-at-home wife/mother?

awww that's so sweet and fast!  :o

Yes...I'd LOVE to be a stay at home mom/wife. I find the job of being a mother/wife the most diffcult but most rewarding. I don't have kids yet but I want them so badly...can't wait.

What shocked you most about moving to the UK?

No

What shocked you most about moving to the UK?

How much everything costs! :o

[I didn't see it as particularly fast...but then, he was mid-30s and I was nearing 40 at the time.  I thought a year was enough time for us to make a decision, and I'm glad we decided as we did.]

What do you miss (or what will you miss) about the US?  (or the UK if your situation is vice versa)

I'm not quite sure seeing as I haven't left yet but I'm guessing I'll miss my mom the most...Nothing particularly "american" like food or anything because if you can't buy it then you'll find a replacement...

What do you do for a living... ;D

Right now...nothing!  It's my first day back at being a housewife, after quitting a job I hated -- sooo....I'd better quit wasting time & get organised here. :P  (The housewife thing -- however tempting -- just doesn't sit well on me, I'm afraid I'm just not very domestic.)  But I'm going to be looking for a different job plus doing stuff around the house, for now.

Do you like beer and if so -- what kind of beer?  (not brands, but bitter, lager, guinness, etc?)

My favourite beer is Fruh Kolsch...
a bit about kolsch can be read here... it may look like lager, but it's not:

Do you have a Senseo machine?
