Hmm...  this is the first one that comes to mind: http://www.letoile-restaurant.com/  I'll let the website do the describing.  The food is soooooo good.  <drool>

Conversely, what's your favorite "on the cheap" restaurant?  McDonald's and other fast food doesn't count!

Young Paul McCartney = nice.  But man - that guy needs to retire! :P

Did you watch the Grammy awards and if you did - thoughts?

The first time I was allowed to go off for a weekend with just my girlfriends and no parental supervision.
Three of us drove up to Big Bear and stayed the weekend in my friends' family cabin.

I remember listening to the Babys, Journey and Styx the whole way up... and we sat around all weekend, took walks, talked about Rick Springfield, who was the cutest guy on General Hospital, and if we'd rather marry a rock star or a soap star.
Oh, and tell ghost stories in the dark.  :)

For whatever reason, we weren't even tempted to drink, or look for any trouble.  It was really nice, and really fun.

What's your favorite weekend getaway memory?

Driving down to Ensenada just shortly after classes ended. We just packed  things in
our trunk and drove off. My friend's parents had a house near & we were allowed to
use it as long as we didn't leave it messy. ;D It was nice  house close to the sea and
sand. There was a vendor  that would rent out his horse for a couple of pesos an
hour so we got to go horseback riding along the beach. We also went fishing and
even saw some sea turtles! In the evening time we decided to have a meal on the
beach so we got a blanket out on and had some sandwiches in the open air. It was
a nice time,we did have a good talk about what we wanted to do when we
graduated from high school. I do want to try to go to Ensenada again with the family!

what was your worst holiday experience?

Well the first few days of my honeymoon would certainly come close...LOL  We lost my suitcase (and ALL of my clothes, makeup, etc -- everything special & favorite that I took for such a special trip) on Day 2--never recovered any of that, then I got my period & a terrible cold, topped off by a gushing bloody nose just as I started to feel better. DH left me sitting for awhile at the bus station as he went to look at something -- came back to find me covered in blood.  Says "I can't leave you alone for one minute - can I?!?!"

(We still ended up having fun once I worked through all of the above aggravation.) :)

How many US states have you been to? (Just passing through an airport doesn't count.)
