I've had a number of them, but my fav was probably 'jojomafuba'.  There's a story behind it.  One year eldest dd was complaining that she didn't have a nickname like her little sister did.  So...for her birthday (#6, I believe) my brother 'gave' her a nickname as a present.  Funnily enough, jojomafuba just didn't stick....

What's the strangest dream you ever had?

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Gosh there are so many! :D  One when I was a child, shortly after my dad died -- I had a dream in which he came back & said he wasn't really dead but that he was living on the planet Saturn.  One as an adult -- an apocalytic world, uber-global warming & all that, scorched earth -- like something out of a Mad Max movie...everyone had to travel at night (what little darkness there was) -- living in tents -- staying out of the sun during the day, and we were down to our last (gasp!) tube of sunblock. :-[

Have you ever had any prescient dreams?
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

There was one in particular that I remember from high school.  I assumed at the time I was dreaming about my wedding day, as I was wearing a white dress.  I was in a church, and needed to use the bathroom.  So I went down this narrow staircase and ended up in a restroom with lavender coloured stalls and tile, looking at myself in the mirror.  Then I woke up.  Some time later, I was involved in a Christmas concert.  We were singing at a local tabernacle, and all the girls were to wear white dresses.  Before the concert began, I decided it would be a good idea to 'use the facilities'.  Well...you guessed it.  Down a narrow staircase, walked into a restroom with lavender stalls and tiles, facing the mirror, seeing myself in my white dress....

There have been others, but that's the first time I ever remember recognizing something that had previously happened in a dream...

Do you prefer ice cream plain or with toppings?

It's a blond joke so no intent to offend anyone...

A blond was driving down the highway when she noticed another blond out in the field in a row boat. She couldn't believe how stupid this was so pulled over and shouted out the window "What the hell are you doing?" To which the other blond replied " Can't you see, I am rowing across the field." The blond in the car was infuriated and shouted back "That is so stupid. You know it's dumb blond's like you that give the rest of us a bad name. If I could swim I'd come out there and kick your as*!"  ;D ::)

Did you have a nickname as a kid?

No. My mother disliked nicknames so she started off naming all of us things that were not easily shortened. There is me, and then Noah. The sister's name is Elizabeth and we were forbidden to call her Liz and likewise with Andrew and Maureen. (Eventually the three of them did go by Liz, Andy, and Mar though.) As an adult, my sister Mar started calling me Crudney.  ::)

If you're a female, would you ever consider being a surrogate mom?

I would definitely consider it, but not sure if I'd be able to handle carrying a baby for nine months and then letting it go. I think the women that do it for the right reasons are amazing though.

What is your idea of a perfect day?

Walking on the beach in Whitby with Simon, picking up bits of sea washed china, and talking about our future.

Do you have a high speed Internet connection, or just dial up at home?

If you are a magazine reader, what types do you regularly read? Fashion, news, literary, gossip, parenting?

I subscribe to two: Bust and Child (could they be more different?).  I really like fashion magazines (no favs), some current events/political ones (sort of depends on what's on the cover), People/Us, and Premiere.  Oh, and Entertainment Weekly.  I admit, I'm a magazine junkie and would subscribe to probably a good dozen if I could afford it!

Do you subscribe to a newpaper?  Which one(s)?
