Do you pay your bills in one go or as they come in?

On pay day - I don't have the time to pay bills every day as they trickle in.  I pay everything online in 10 minutes, twice a month when I get paid.

How do you like to keep your writing instruments?  In a pencil cup or in a tray?  Or scattered on your desk so you can just grab as needed?

Yes - I used to have some personalized Crain notes, pale pink with my name in black script, but then my name changed so I can't use them.  They were my favorite.  Now I have some lovely notes with drawings of black raspberries and vines all around the edge with matching envelopes.  Very pretty!!

Do you buy special stamps or just "flags"?  Or the UK equivalent.

The last (and also the only) time I wore a Hawaiian print outfit was about 15 years ago for Hawaiian night on a cruise.

What was the last craft you made?

I'm in the process of making baby gifts for my five (!) friends having babies in the next few months.  I must have been drunk or something when I decided to do this as it's taking foreeeeeeeeeeever.

Do you know how to sew?

If you got the call to evacuate your home in less than 20 minutes, not knowing if you could ever return, what would you take with you?

Aside from the husband, son and three cats, which I'm assuming are a given... my family movies, photo albums and computer (mostly for the digital photos I haven't put on disc yet).  Everything else is just stuff, really.

If you could own any piece of art or sculpture ever created - what would you pick?  Any particular reason why?

I have two bookends sculpted by my dad :)

BUT - an original painting I would love to own, would have to be:

Madame X (Madame Pierre Gautreau)
by
John Singer Sargent (1856–1925)
Date:  1883–84

My hands down, favorite painter of all.  I never liked portraits until I saw what he created.  And this particular painting, I dunno, has so much class, style, but also so much personality and vitality behind it... it just gets me.  I dig it.  And such a great story about her and society at the time.
Sadly, I have yet to see it for real; it was on tour when I went to the Metropolitan to see it. :(

If you could do anything for anyone, and money and time were no object, what would it be, and for whom?

I'd buy my brother a house so he didn't have to worry about whether or not he can pay the rent every month.  I'd also set aside a little account so he has emergency money, if need be.  :-\\\\

What's your dream car?
