I guess some would call gift cards impersonal but I actually prefer them - that way I can get exactly what I want.

What are your plans for NYE?

Have a mini (but noisy) celebration with the kids and put them to bed early, then stay up until midnight doing a jigsaw puzzle while my husband reads, have a drink/toast while watching some silly ball dropping or something on TV, and go to bed.

Probably, no clue - we go to in laws for Sunday teas.

We're never normal!

who was the most annoying  guest around the  holiday table this year? 

Well if my Bil would have been there I would have said him but he didn't have Christmas dinner with us this year at the In-Laws they went on Boxing Day instead so there wasn't anyone annoying this year thankfully.   

Have you done any after Christmas shopping an hit any good sales?

Nope - always too broke after Christmas to do any shopping.

Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon?

Yes! And it was surprisingly cold and rainy---on the bright side, the quality of the light through the clouds made for some great  photos.


When you go on holiday, do you try to blend in as completely as possible, or do you like to do 'touristy' things, too?

I do all kinds of things, touristy and otherwise.
