I always liked Summer Rain, or Autumn Rain for a girl,

Autumn Rain.  Nearly as nice as Autumn Dawn. ;)  People always assume that I was born in the Autumn and in the morning...or, that I was named by hippies.  Truth is, as I have stated in my siggy, I was born in the Summer and at night.  However, my mother was no hippy, seeing that she was 40 years of age when she gave birth to me, and I am now 31... well, you do the math.  I have always loved and been proud of my name, I revel in it's uniqueness...and, well, it simply suits me.  Suits me so much better than Summer ever would have.  :)

However, my son is named Zadeer, and when people ask again how it's sounded, I just say, Oh! Like when you say....he's a dear!

I like the sound of Zadeer.  What is its orgin?  Do you know what it means?
I was born in the Summer and at Night...my mother named me AUTUMN DAWN.  True story.

Jamie's...beyond the stars and past eternity.

EMAIL or PM me for information about gigs or about booking me (solo gig) or the band.

We were discussing baby names in the hospital last night, including some of the stranger names we've heard.  (There was a former nurse at that hospital named - I kid you not - Sparkle Arkel.)  Anyway, one of the nurses was telling us about a baby that the parents decided to name "Ab-ci-dy", spelt - you guessed it - "Abcde".
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

I got a bit perplexed when I saw on the roster a "Kiera Knightly" was coming from A&E but it wasn't her... ;D

At least my sister had nice nurses this go round.  When she had her first baby one of her nurses could have given "Comfort" a run for her money.  She kept trying to kick me out of the labour and delivery room, when my sister had SPECIFICALLY asked that I be there.  It was about as uncomplicated a delivery as they come, if things were not going well I could see them not wanting extra people there.  But my BIL, as much as I love him, is totally useless in the delivery room.  He's about 6'4" and the sight of all the 'goo' that accompanies childbirth is about enough to make him pass out.  They always make him sit down in a chair somewhere because they don't want to have to pick him up again if he falls!

I think she just didn't like me for some reason.... :P

I don't know but someone told me about a nurse called Tess who married a Dr Tickle.  Also a nurse whose surname was Nurse, so she was Nurse Nurse but then she married a guy whose surname was Doctor so she became Nurse Doctor!! I don't know if these stories are true or not but they're funny!

this nurse when it was time for distributing the afternoon tea walked around and just swung opened the patient's door and said" Are you breastfeeding? no?" shut the door and moves on the next room...too tight to give food to parents no "Hello or good morning would you like something to eat"or at least knock on their door .... then afterwards the extra food gets thrown out...she told me on thursday I was "ill mannered" for not saying "good morning " to her because she's older than I am ...yet last week when people were asking about New Orleans or the situation about the hurricane she kept trying to change the subject to the cricket...I AM SO GLAD THE ENGLISH WON!!!! ;D

That's ok I'm noting everything down and turning in a complaint when I finish my stint. >:D

Reminds me....as we sitting in the labour/delivery room last night discussing names, my sister was watching "Animal Planet" on TV.  (The wonders of a good epidural, eh?)  Anyway, a picture of a rhea (flightless bird) came on and my BIL told us that he had a family member that actually had a couple of rheas.  Their names?  Diah and Gonah.....groan..... :-X

I was just reading the Jamie Oliver interview in the Guardian. I knew his kids had somewhat cutesy names but their middle names are worse: one girl is Poppy Honey and the other one is Daisy Boo.

Boo????????????????

Last one, I promise....at least for now!

Across the street from the hospital there was a big sign advertising the offices of Alan Crooks, the banker!  (Just who I'd want to trust w/my money!!!)  ;)
