2 B or Not 2 B
« on: September 18, 2003, 07:56:58 PM »
Here's something for everyone to ponder....

I have found one of my faves here....Nesquik.  But for some strange reason its not quite the same.  Is it the milk or the Nesquik?  Okay I guess it could be me...but I dont think so....I definitely mix it well but it still has the chocolate powder that floats on top.  Have you had this experience?

Have you found any products that are the same, but not the same?

I've had problems with Nesquik too!  Thought it was just me.   ;D

Another thing that is the same but different is Cambells Condensed Tomato soup.  It tastes different!!  (But I like it so it's ok.)  ;)

I've noticed the Campbell's soup there is more of an orange color not the more red like ours.  But I didn't mind the flavor either.

i have noticed the cambell's soup...the cream soups are a little more watery here when it comes out of the can. i can pour mine here but at home it used to come out semi-moulded in a can-shape.

i like the chocolate here better...like cadbury roses! a little more creamy.

lots of the chinese food tastes different to me,although some same dishes. in hawaii the chinese food is ever so slightly sweeter, and there isn't a chinese place near where i live that does orange or lemon chicken that's deep fried.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be.

Chocolate is definitely better by far here. I've noticed the meats cook up more watery here, more greasy in the US. Bisquick doesn't seem the same, nor does Campbell's. Oreos not the same. Same with boxed macaroni and cheese. I'll keep thinking about this because I know there are other products that I thought this about.

Stu swears Heinz ketchup tastes different here and brought a massive bottle of the US variety with him when he moved over here in May. I can't tell the difference, what does anyone else think? The ingredients listed on the label are slightly different but like I say it tastes the same as the UK made one to me.

Ketchup varies a lot here.  Some are so vinegary I can't even eat them, but that is usually the generic ones you get at the chip shop, etc.  I haven't really noticed any different with Heinz ketchup...but maybe I'm not really the ketchup connoisseur I once was.  :)

Skittles aren't the same here either - the purple ones aren't grape, they are that creep black-currant flavor that I can't stand. :( Purple were one of my faves in the US, not I throw them away!
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!
