Ocado for home delivery. Sainsburys if we go to the actual shop. When we've got money and for special occasions it's the local butcher....

Well in my village - there is CoOp and Waitrose.  And the Waitrose is rubbish! Normally they are really good, but my one has nothing practical.  I think because it's one of the more posh Waitrose stores.  Heck their toilet paper is at least 60p more expesive than Tesco. And the CoOp is expensive too!

SO...I drive to my old village and go to my old Tesco.  Walking in there is like putting on an old pair of trainers....plus I save loads of £.

I really like Sainsbury's, but they are too expensive to shop in all the time.  Plus there aren't any in my immediate area.

You know, everyone says that Sainsburys is *too* expensive - but I feed a family of four pretty reasonably shopping there.  I stake out the 3 for 2's, the BOGOF offers, anything with a red marked down sticker on it gets my attention, especially if it can be eaten that night or thrown in the freezer!  And I trust their brand of most things, so I don't have to buy a "name" brand like I would probably do somewhere a little *cheaper*.

Hmmmm, maybe I should give them another look...although they aren't *real* close to where I live.  I do like saving Nectar points...  ;)

I agree about Sainsburys.  I'm also feeding a family of four on a reasonable budget, though it helps for me to do online shopping which cuts down on some of the impulse buys.

The impulse buys are what will screw up my budget every time!  But I love grocery shopping - I love seeing the food and touching it and seeing what's new in the store.  And I LOVE the smell of the roast chicken and the Indian food at the deli when we do the big shop.... ;D

Also they have a very wide range of fresh produce which is produced locally or at least in the UK - English apples in season etc.

I like Sainsbury's as well. If you're only feeding two people and don't do meat or dairy, you can get some really great bargains in on the reduced fruit and veg. I also appreciate their range of Cauldron products, canned pulses and various grains like barley, couscous, etc.

Sainsbury's for me. Their markdowns are usually really good, and they are close by. And their fruit is of high quality. Their grapes are really sweet.

I also do M&S for ready meals and onion naan, and Waitrose for Bisquick.

No Tesco nearby, but I find Sainsbury's reasonable. Maybe if I saw Tesco prices, I'd change my mind, though.

Let's take our wigs off in the shopi aisle and fight it out.

I heard a recent report that Tesco is now cheaper (on average) than Asda!

Sainsbury's usually.  Waitrose once in awhile and Tesco's less then that :)

Starting to get fruit and veg at the weekly farmers market.
