I can't say I notice how people in Tesco are dressed. Unless I'm looking for something and then I'll keep an eye out for anyone wearing a uniform. If peeps want to dress up, far be it from me to assess whether it's a waste of time or not. They could be on their way to work, a social function, etc. I do notice, however, that fewer people go out in public dressed in what they wore to bed the night before, and find that quite nice.
In Madrid, I was astounded by the number of women able to walk quite briskly on cobbled paths in heels. And in Paris, in how women always looked so pulled together and had just the right makeup.
