What a relief!
« on: August 15, 2005, 05:10:26 PM »
I went out to see my new place today for the first time.  I move in on Wednesday!  My school set up accomodation for me in a cottage with another guy on staff.  I met him briefly like 3 months ago but what he looked like, etc. was not even something I remembered.  Anyway.. I drove out there today and the house is awesome!  It's a 3 bedroom house with lounge, study and large kitchen.  We share a bath upstairs but even that's big!  My room isn't huge but that's ok.  I don't anticipate spending a lot of time up there because the guy I'm living with is really cool.  He's about 25 and so nice (a serious hottie too!).  I think I'm going to really enjoy living out there.  It overlooks a large woodland and is off the beaten path a bit, but a short walk to town.

Mostly, it's so quiet.  I'm used to the quiet rumble of London so the silence will be deafening at first.  But I'm looking forward to a peaceful respite every day after work.   :D
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Well done! So it's just the two of you then? ;)

Moving out as in breaking up? Or just moving out? This sounds promising!! ;)

He said she was only staying there because she was in-between places.  And her new place is available on Friday so she's moving then.  Not breaking up.. but that's ok.  Heh.
