It never ceases to amaze me ...
« on: August 22, 2005, 12:22:51 PM »
... how intelligent toddlers are.  I took Niall into the bathroom with me today to sort some laundry.  He's big into helping at this stage; so I started a light and dark pile, showed him which was which, and the boy started sorting laundry into the correct piles!

Now, why is it that a 2 year old can correctly sort laundry, but the teenager and 39 year old man can't?  ::)

Sounds like he's ready to earn his keep now, go out and get a job!   :P

You're right, Cait.  There's more going on their little heads than you realize sometimes!

They love to help at that age! Brett was sorting laundry and putting it into the machine when he was three! lol
Coby is 3 now and  likes to help also but Brett whom is 7 now is still the biggest help around here. Jordan and Brett unload the dishwasher for me which is great because its something I hate doing.

Don't you love how helpful they are at this age? Why can't they stay like that? Oh, and FYI, we saw a toy 'hotpoint' washer at Toys R Us the other day,,LOL. Teach him how to start it next ;)

Are you kidding me, Tebs?  The boy not only sorted the clothes, but put them in the washer AND wanted to add the powder and close the door.

Who needs a maid when you have child labour! ;)

Mine does that!  She gets all excited and says 'Washy, washy!'  She tries to hang the clothes on the rack.  She also has a toy Dyson I found on Ebay.  We'll see how long this phase lasts.

told you Cait!! It's great till of course they go to school and figure out that their friends don't eat vegetables , don't do housework or their homework cuz "it's not cool"  :P
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

She tries to hang the clothes on the rack

Sounds familiar.  He takes them off the rack for me, watches me fold them and just as I turn my back, he puts the folded pile straight back on the rack -- the silly sausage!

Mean ole' mum will still make him do it!
